A worksheet for your business

Business information checklist

Start with one page on your website. Check what customers need to know, then choose one detail to fix.

Have five minutes? Start here.

Open your contact page or the page for your most important service. Check three things: how a customer can reach you, what you offer, and where you work. Pick one wrong or missing detail to fix.

For example, if the page says “Central Florida” but you only take jobs in Orange County, explain that service area clearly. Use the notes below to keep track of the change.

Download a fact sheet

The fact sheet is a blank CSV template you can open in a spreadsheet. You can also type your notes below and print them.

Your entries stay in this page while you work. They aren’t sent to us or saved by the site. Print a copy before leaving if you want to keep them.

1. Check the basics

2. Explain what you offer

3. Help customers check the details

Optional: check an AI answer

Ask one question about your business by name, such as “Which counties does [business name] serve?” Include the town or location if it matters. Save the answer and check its facts against your current website and records.

Here’s a hypothetical entry for a business that serves Orange County only:

Date
October 3, 2026
Product and search mode
Example assistant, with search on
Question
“Which counties does [business name] serve?”
Answer saved
It says the business serves Orange and Seminole counties.
Linked source
An older directory listing
What you checked
The current service page and business records say Orange County only. The answer adds a county the business doesn’t serve.
Next step
Open the cited listing, correct outdated information if present, save the answer, and check again later.

One entry tells you about that answer. It doesn’t establish a ranking or show what every customer sees.

Keep a fuller record if you want to compare answers

The AI answer log is an optional blank CSV template with space for questions, replies, sources, facts, and follow-up dates. You can open it in a spreadsheet.

Try a second question a potential customer might ask, such as “Who repairs pool pumps in Winter Park?”

Ask each in three new conversations, then try again on another day. Keep the product, search mode, and location details the same where possible. Save the replies and their links. Check the answers against your fact sheet, noting what was right, wrong, or impossible to check.

Write “mentioned in two of three replies,” rather than treating one answer as a ranking. If you update a page and the answers later change, record both events. You won’t necessarily know what caused the change.
